The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. There are 28 states and 8 Union territories in the country. From the largest to the smallest, each State/UT of India has a unique demography, history and culture, dress, festivals, language etc.India's culture is among the world's oldest; civilization in India began about 4,500 years ago. Many sources describe it as "Sa Prathama Sanskrati Vishvavara" — the first and the supreme culture in the world, according to the All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP) organization.
